The objective of the Visual Communication Design Course is to nurture creative and professional visual communication designers. This can be done by teaching the design theory on all areas of visual communication and linking the practical training through various learning methods. The Course’s subdivisions are “Graphic Design” and “Digital Media Design.”
Based on comprehensive combination of theoretical education and practical training, the Course provides authentic design education focusing on creative thinking skills, which is offered at offline design colleges.
The Course is taught by the faculty of Hanyang University, and the School invites a number of professors from design-related departments at renowned universities as well as prominent hands-on designers.
The Course offers a new subject called the “Diverse basic Practical Skills”, which is currently taught offline by a full-time professor, for the Structuring and Debating club.
By introducing retraining programs for hands-on workers, the Course has established a systematic design concept. The School of Design provides various practical subjects for presentations and introduces the newest paradigms, and offers the largest number of design theory lectures. Its critique sessions for practical assignments follow the unique feedback methods developed by Hanyang Cyber University’s School of Design.
The instructions are held twice a month in Cyber Lecture Hall 2 in the Hanyang University.
